Crescent Elementary School participated in Hats for Hope Day on Thursday, September 23. Jay’s Hope is a foundation whose mission is to improve the quality of life for children with cancer and their families in Central and South Georgia by extending HOPE through social, emotional, spiritual, educational and financial support. This foundation has special meaning to Crescent students and staff. Nolan Blake, a first grader at Crescent, was diagnosed in 2009 with Anaplastic Medulloblastoma. Fellow students and staff members paid one dollar to wear a hat to school and the proceeds will go to Jay’s Hope.
