>The Georgia Department of Labor, Griffin Area Employer Committee and Veteran Services have finalized the details of the 2010 Griffin Area Job Fair. The event will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2010 from 1 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. at the Griffin Event Center, 551 North Expressway, Griffin, Ga. 30223. This no-cost event is open to all job seekers. Over 60 employers and agency representatives will be on hand to discuss employment opportunities and available resources. Applicants are encouraged to dress professionally and bring resumes to distribute to employers. Interested employers or organizations should contact Sherry Maddock at (770) 228-7226.
The following companies are confirmed participants: B & G Equipment Co., Caterpillar Inc., City of Griffin, CSS Healthcare Services Inc., Family Bridge Healthcare SVCS, Frito-Lay, Georgia Department of Corrections, Home Nurse, Lowe’s, Solo Cup, Sumika Polymer Compounds, T-Mobile, United Bank, Verizon Wireless and Windstream.
