The Spalding County Sheriff’s Department, Griffin Police Department, Fayette County Sheriff’s Department, Pike County Sheriff’s Department and the Henry County Police Department have been plagued with numerous reports coming in about tail gates from pick up trucks being stolen according to Sheriff Stewart. Investigators have been working hard on recovering the stolen property and conducted a search warrant at a local salvage yard.
Stewart said that numerous tail gates have been recovered and more are expected to be recovered. Investigators are asking that anyone who has had a tail gate stolen from a pick up truck and a police report has been filed with any Law Enforcement Agency to please call 770-467-4282 and ask for extension 213 to make arrangements with investigators to look at the tail gates that have been recovered.
