Griffinite presents TED talk

JESSICA GREGORY :::
We admit it.  We’re a little behind the times.  Here at The Grip, we’ve recently become obsessed with TED talks.  They’re short videos that share some nugget of knowledge or “idea worth spreading.”  The videos can become an addiction to those who will forever be students at heart (like me, the nerdy publisher of The Grip) because they impart knowledge without boring you to tears.

Due to our late arrival on the TED scene, we missed the fact that back in June, a Griffinite presented his own TED talk.  Blake Canterbury, who currently resides in Atlanta but hails from Griffin, presented the concept of his non-profit organization to a group of people in Bend, Oregon.  His organization, beremedy, uses the social networking power of Twitter to connect resources with needs, all within the same community.  Watch him tell his story here.
