Koda was adopted from our organization in February 2011, not long after we rescued him from the Warner Robins Animal Shelter. After nearly three years in his home, Koda’s family returned him to our rescue due to the relocation of his main caregiver and companion–a teenage boy–out of state and the anticipated engagement of the adult in the home to a person with a dog allergy. When he first returned to his former foster home, Koda was very sad, confused, and quite depressed. He thought he was a member of that family! Finally we coaxed Koda out of his depression and he’s a happy boy again, having fun with his new friends Jake Lewis, Argus, and the energetic and beautiful Truly (all appear on our pet list).
Koda has a great disposition, is great with kids, and will be a fantastic family dog for some lucky family. He is a little unsure of new situations, but that’s always been part of his personality and we just go with it. Koda is really hoping for a home that will truly be forever, to be a real member of a family again, and to never face being given up again. This treasure deserves no less!
