GPD officer struck by vehicle transported to ER

A Griffin Police officer was transported to the emergency room of Spalding Regional Hospital Thursday morning after being struck by a passing vehicle as he worked a prior wreck.
Officer Jeff Gauldin was working a wreck at Highway 16 near the bridge construction when he was struck.
Authorities say Gauldin sustained minor injuries, but has no broken bones. He will be out of work for a few days for rest and recovery.
