Two people shot in Concord

STAFF REPORT :::

The Pike County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting incident that left two people wounded.Deputies responded to a call at 7:47 p.m. reporting two people had been shot at 349 Bates Road, Concord.

One person was transported by air ambulance to Atlanta and a second was transported to Macon for medical treatment.

Authorities say there is no reason to believe any citizens in the area are in danger. It is believed that both people injured are the only ones involved in this incident.
