Tee off for Ta-Tas

The Griffin Country Club will host its second annual Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure Golf Tournament on Saturday, June 25.  Two shotgun start tee times, 9 a.m. and 2 p.m., are available.

Mick Palmer, marketing director for the Griffin Country Club, says that last year’s event drew a very large crowd and about 120 golfers.  So far this year, 80 golfers have signed up, so he’s still looking for teams.

Entry fees are $75 per person, and teams are comprised of two golfers.  A lunch comprised of burgers, hot dogs and beer are included in the entry fee.

Hole sponsorships are also available for a fee, and vendor tables are open free of charge.  “Anyone wanting to come out and sell or promote their products is welcome to come out.  We’re trying to help the community,” said Palmer.

Money made from the tournament is donated to Spalding, Pike and Fayette county 3-Day Walk participants.
