From staff reports
Investigators with the Spalding County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) and the Pike County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) on Jan. 16, shared information and worked cooperatively to solve multiple entering auto cases in both jurisdictions.
Investigators with the SCSO were investigating two cases that occurred in the Lenox Circle area, and Pike investigators had six cases in the area of Georgia Highway 362.
Pike County officials had obtained a vehicle description in some of its incidents – a silver in color Ford Mustang – that was suspected of being involved.
Personnel of the PCSO on Jan. 17, located a vehicle matching that description, and identified its occupants as 33-year-old Nathaniel Brian Morris, of 102 Pine St., Zebulon, and 46-year-old John Alexander Jones, of 121 Davidson Circle, Griffin.
According to Spalding County Sheriff Wendell Beam, a search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of items reported as stolen from vehicles in both jurisdictions.
Morris and Jones have been charged with entering auto in both Pike and Spalding counties.
The suspects are currently being held in Pike County, and upon release, will be transported to the Spalding County Jail.
