UGA Health Navigators are offering informational sessions around the state to help Georgians learn about the best health insurance option for them and get signed up. Workshops will be held in Spalding County on Dec. 10-12.
The workshops are free and open to the public.
The Marketplace and Health Insurance Basics Informational workshops will be conducted by Spalding County Health Navigator Nykita Scott.
Workshops will be held at Mount Zion Baptist Church located at 321 E. Taylor St. from 10 a.m.. to 1 p.m. Dec. 10 and from 6 to 8 p.m.
Scott will focus the workshops on educating the community on health insurance and the Affordable Care Act basics. She will be available to answer questions following the session, and time will be set aside following the presentation for online and paper application assistance.
The third meeting will present the same educational opportunities from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Dec. 12 at the Flint River Regional Library located at 800 Memorial Drive. Following the presentation, Scott will be available to answer questions, but there will be no process for applying for the Affordable Care Act.
