Input sought for transit study

UPDATE: Due to the inclement weather, this workshop is now scheduled for Thursday, February 13, 2014 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Griffin City Hall in the Municipal Courtroom located at 100 S. Hill Street in Griffin.

STAFF REPORTS :::

A second workshop is scheduled for the Griffin-Spalding Transit Feasibility Study which is being conducted to determine the need, the most appropriate type of services, and requirements for providing public transit service.  The workshop is scheduled for Thursday, January 30, 2014 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm to share information and receive additional input from the public.  The workshop will be held at the Griffin City Hall in the Municipal Courtroom located at 100 S. Hill Street in Griffin.

From 6:00 to 6:30 pm an open house will be conducted to review maps and other visuals associated with data compiled to date.   From 6:30 pm to 7:00 pm a presentation will be given that includes the results of existing conditions and needs assessment based on technical analysis and feedback from citizens.  From 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm, an interactive workshop will be conducted to allow participants to work on maps and identify locations for desired transit service.
