SHEILA A. MATHEWS :::
Western Spalding County is once again the scene of severe weather damage, as trees and power lines have been downed in the vicinity of Highway 16 and Fairview Road.
Spalding County Manager William Wilson said initial reports did not indicate damages to residences or businesses, but the full extent of damages is yet to be determined.
He said the 911 Call Center received only a few calls reporting the damages.
“They only got two or three calls, but no eyewitnesses, so they’re still trying to determine what happened,” Wilson said. “All they have now is trees and power lines are down.”
Wilson said personnel of the Spalding County Fire Department are on scene.
