SHEILA A. MATHEWS :::
The Spalding County Board of Commissioners has unanimously vote to set the county’s millage rate at 16.01, which means it will remain the same as the 2013 rate.
The Griffin-Spalding County School System also met Monday and its recommended millage rate is 19.47, also the same as in 2013.
The Spalding County Fire District millage rate will remain unchanged, too, at 4.17.
According to Spalding County Manager William Wilson, property taxes will be due no later than Dec. 20.
The millage rates for the cities of Orchard Hill will also be set tonight at its city commission meeting, and Sunnyside’s will be set in coming days.
We don’t have the new one at clinic yet. Sad. 😦
