Former Spalding County commissioner Dave Phillips has died.
Phillips, also a successful businessman who owned Dave’s Guns & Guy Stuff, passed away Sunday afternoon at his residence.
According to Spalding County Coroner Sonny Foster, Phillips was not alone when he died.
His death is being attributed to a heart attack.
The GRIP will report details of Phillip’s final arrangements when they are made avaliable.

Awe man hate to hear that about Dave. He was a good friend and always on the up with guns sales. I know my hubby hung out at Dave’s Gun shop a lot just talking with the guys. Chris bought many guns from Dave. Dave was funny and had a wicked sense of humor. He will be missed.
