GPD investigation nets many arrests on prostitution, bath salts, meth, additional drugs, weapons and other charges

An extended investigation of the Griffin Police Department’s Criminal Apprehension Gang Enforcement Unit and Special Investigations Unit has resulted in multiple arrests on a variety of charges including participating in criminal gang activity, the Georgia Controlled Substance Act, prostitution and keeping a place of prostitution.

In the last month, 50 Gang Act charges have been filed by GPD investigators.

GPD officials say charging an individual under the Gang Act requires an extensive investigation to establish several indicators to determine that person is a gang member or associate of the gang.

The Scottish Inn hotel and Bahama Massage Therapy, another local business, were targets of the investigation that led to the prostitution charges.

Arrested were:

Jody Evans, who is charged with five counts of participation in criminal gang activity.

Crystal Chambers, who is charged with three counts of participation in criminal gang activity.

Darius Allen, who is charged with five counts of participation in criminal gang activity.

Kortavius Ridgeway, who is charged with six counts of participation in criminal gang activity.

Emmanual Pyant, who is charged with six counts of participation in criminal gang activity.

Reatris Ellis, who is charged with six counts of participation in criminal gang activity.

Elisha Goggins, who is charged with six counts of participation in criminal gang activity.

Kentavius Davis, who is charged with six counts of participation in criminal gang activity.
