An officer of the Griffin Police Department was on Tuesday night involved in a wreck on West Taylor Street.
The incident involved Cpl. Dwayne Hancock, and occurred at approximately 6:30 p.m. on West Taylor Street.
“…Hancock was attempting to make a left turn from the exit way of Sonic on to West Taylor Street when he crashed into an east bound vehicle,” reported Lt. Brian Jones.
According to GPD Chief Mike Yates, the Georgia State Patrol will conduct the wreck investigation.
“I am not aware of any injuries. Cpl. Hancock was involved in said accident, and the accident will be reviewed to determine fault,” Yates said.
