A Zebulon man was killed Friday morning in a two-vehicle wreck on Highway 19.
According to a press release issued by the Pike County Sheriff’s Office, the wreck occurred at 11:46 at the intersection of Highway 19 and Gresham Road.
Authorities say a Chevrolet pickup truck was traveling westbound on Gresham Road when it ran the stop sign at Highway 19 and struck a Chevrolet passenger car.
The driver of the truck, 28-year-old Adrian Hampton, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Jeffery Brown, age 57, was injured in the passenger car, and was transported by ambulance to the trauma unit of Grady Memorial Hospital.
The investigation of this fatal wreck is ongoing.
