SHEILA A. MATHEWS :::
A Griffin High School teacher collapsed and died Monday morning.
“The Griffin-Spalding County School System can confirm that Griffin High School 11th grade algebra teacher Ms. Tamika James passed away this morning,” said GSCSS Executive Director of Communications and Partnerships Kimberly Green. “Ms. James was a teacher at GHS for nearly 12 years. She was an outstanding teacher who cared very deeply about the success and wellbeing of each and every one of her students.”
Green said support is being offered to GHS students and faculty.
“We always have counselors when a student or staff member passes away. We always have that, whether it’s on the weekend, in the school, outside the school. We always provide that. It’s part of our protocol,” she said.
Green said the GSCSS currently has that support in place for GHS students and faculty, alike.
“Counselors are presently set up at GHS in the media center to provide support to students and staff during this difficult time. We are deeply saddened by her death and we express our sincere condolences to her family and the Griffin High School community,” Green said.
Sounds fishery to me what really happened to my sister.
