Pike County Sheriff’s Office vehicle pursuit ends in DUI arrest

A Jan. 24 vehicle pursuit in Pike County resulted in one arrest.

The Pike County Sheriff’s Office reports that Levi Mincey, of Gresham Road, fled from deputies on Highway 19.

Authorities say a deputy was approaching Mincey in reference to an investigation of driving under the influence when he allegedly fled.

Mincey was ultimately arrested on Highway 41 after he entered a church parking lot and deputies pinned his vehicle in to prevent him from reentering the roadway.

Officials say Mincey did not comply with directions and a taser was deployed to “gain his compliance.”
