James Warren Krivan, age 33, of Thomaston, has been arrested on numerous child pornography charges.
In relation to a an investigation pertaining to alleged online sexual exploitation of children, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s Child Exploitation and Computer Crimes Unit (CEACC), with assistance from the Thomaston Police Department, executed a search warrant at Krivan’s residence.
The investigation was initiated after the GBI’s CEACC Unit received numerous cybertips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that were all associated with one Imgur user account.
The Imgur account allegedly contained images of suspected child pornography.
Officials say a GBI review of the cybertips revealed thousands of images of children, some of which were considered child pornography according to Georgia law.
Krivan was subsequently arrested and charged with ten counts of possession of child pornography.
This investigation is ongoing.
