Spalding County’s historic Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration Day 2022 will be held on April 2, with the theme of Woven Together in the Struggle for Justice, Change, Equity and Hope.
Parade participants will begin lining up at 2 p.m.
The parade will begin at 2:30 p.m. and it will follow the new city of Griffin parade route.
Following the parade, a Community Unity Vigil will be held in Fairmont Park at 6 p.m.
Registration for the parade will be held from noon until 4 p.m. Saturday, March 26 in the Fairmont Community Center.
The Excellence in Achievement Organization, the event organizers, invite the entire community to join this celebration of Dr. King and his struggle for peace and justice for all.
The Rev. Reginald is the parade grand marshal and Jonesboro City Manager Ricky Clark will be the Unity Vigil keynote speaker.
