Summer Reading Programs are well underway at the Griffin-Spalding County Library, 800 Memorial Dr., Griffin. The support of the Friends of the Griffin-Spalding County Library and our local community has enabled us to add more special performers than ever before. On Thursday, June 20, Todd Key presented his Flying Debris Show to a large audience of children and adults. He presented a mix of juggling and balancing acts mixed with comedy that the audience found very entertaining.
The library will continue to present special programs of professional and local entertainment through the remainder of June and all of July on Mondays at 6:00 p.m., Thursdays at 3:00 p.m., and Saturdays at 2:30 p.m. Next week’s entertainers will be Lee Andrews and Ernest Rogers. On Monday, June 24, at 6:00 Lee Andrews will present Lew-E’s Educational Circus. The worlds of reading, science, mathematics and more will be demonstrated using various circus skills and visualization. On Thursday June 27 at 3:00 Ernest Roger, will present Rhythm Nation. He uses his skills as a percussionist and artist to teach about rhythm, culture and music from around the world. All programs are free to the public. Call 770-412-4770 for more information.
