The Spalding County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a missing Griffin resident, 45-year-old Juleen Adkins.
Authorities say Adkins vehicle was found abandoned in the parking lot of Midway United Methodist Church located at 2517 High Falls Road. The missing woman is not a member of that church.
According to Capt. Tony Ranieri, of the SCSO Criminal Investigation Division, personnel spent a number of hours Friday involved in an intensive search for the missing woman.
“We had the helicopter up; I put the K9s out; I had 14 persons from the Dive Team searching; and I had all of CID, which consists of 10 investigators out canvassing the neighborhood, interviewing neighbors, showing her (Adkins’) photo and other things,” he said.
Additional manpower for the search also was contributed by personnel of the SCSO Uniform Patrol Division.
Adkins is described as a white female who is 5-feet 7-inches tall, weighing 260 pounds. She was last seen wearing a red t-shirt and blue jean capri pants.
Anyone who may have information pertaining to Adkins’ whereabouts is asked to contact Sgt. Vicki
