A vehicular chase that began in Butts County made its way into eastern Spalding County just after 5 p.m. Wednesday.
The incident began with the Butts County Sheriff’s Office, but as the chase made its way towards Griffin-Spalding County, at least a half dozen law enforcement units – one from the Spalding County Sheriff’s Office, two from the Georgia State Patrol-Griffin Post and three from the Griffin Police Department – made their way from the downtown area towards the eastern part of the county on Highway 16.
According to Lt. Mike Richardson, of the GPD Criminal Investigation Division, the chase concluded on Rehoboth Road.
There were no injuries reported.
Authorities say the incident is suspected to be drug-related.
