Suspect arrested in string of southside Griffin burglaries

The Griffin Police Department has arrested the person accused of committing multiple burglaries on the southside of the city of Griffin.

According to a press release issued by the GPD, Nickolas Creswell was on Nov. 15, at approximately 10:30 p.m. arrested in Locust Grove by Detective Corporal Cary Jackson and Detective Corporal Todd Howard.

Officials say Creswell was apprehended without incident.

Jackson and Howard were assisted by Special Agent Jermaine Hicks, of the McDonough Police Department, and Special Agent Derrick Wilson, of Locust Grove Police Department.

Creswell was wanted for several burglaries that occurred in Griffin within the last few months.

He is currently being held in the Spalding County Jail on three counts of burglary and three counts of felony theft by taking.
