The Spalding County Sheriff’s Office is actively searching the High Falls Road area for a missing 19-month-old child.
As part of their search, Sheriff Darrell Dix and deputies are going door-to-door in an effort to locate Anastasia Mercer.
Authorities say the child is believed to have been abducted by her father, 28-year-old Emmett Hobbs.
Hobbs is wanted for battery/domestic violence against Anastasia’s mother.
The apparent abduction appears to be related to a dispute with the 19-month-old little girl’s mother, officials say.
Anastasia was last seen wearing only a diaper, and with a Dora the Explorer blanket.
