The Spalding County Sheriff’s Office is involved in an active high-risk scene at the Satilla Court residence of Spalding County Commissioner Don Hawbaker.
A confidential reliable source who reported that shots have been fired.
Law enforcement officials were at Hawbaker’s residence after four search warrants were issued for his arrest.
One warrant is for simple assault based on an allegation he pointed a pistol at his wife, Gayle Hawbaker.
The GRIP is on scene in Sun City Peachtree and will update this story as additional information becomes available.
