Pike BoE chairman booked into Spalding County Jail

Spalding County Sheriff’s Office Maj. Dwayne Jones has confirmed that Ryan Edge, age 41, of Williamson, was booked into the Spalding County Jail after being arrested by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.

Edge, who for four years has served as the chairman of the Pike County Board of Education, was arrested by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and is facing six counts of felony theft by deception.

Edge was being held in jail Tuesday pending a bond hearing before a Magistrate Court Judge.
