Third suspect being sought in Butts County shooting that killed one, wounded three others

A third suspect has been identified and is being sought in connection with the Tuesday, Feb. 16 shooting in Butts County that killed 18-year-old William Trawick and left three others wounded.

Investigators are seeking the public’s assistance in locating 19-year-old Calvin Teotis Rozier who is described as a black male who is 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs 125 pounds.

According to Maj. Jeff Nix, of the Butts County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division, Dozier is originally from the Hampton area is thought to possibly be in Atlanta.

Two suspects have been arrested in this incident. Carey Williams, age 18, of Locust Grove, and Jordan Watson, age 18, of McDonough, are being held in the Butts County Jail on charges of murder and aggravated assault.

Watson was taken into custody Tuesday, Feb. 16 – the day of the shooting – and Williams was arrested Friday, Feb. 19.

In addition to Trawick, one man and one woman who reside at the Brooks Road residence where the shooting occurred were wounded. A third male shooting victim was visiting the residence with the party responsible for the shooting, Sheriff Gary Long has said.

Nix previously reported the three surviving victims are recovering from non-life threatening wounds.
