Sheriff: One man killed in Wednesday shooting

One man was killed Wednesday night in a shooting in Northside Hills Apartments.

The victim, 22-year-old Jarquavion Hall, sustained a single gunshot wound to the chest.

According to Spalding County Sheriff Darrell Dix, the incident occurred at 7:06 p.m. in the parking lot in front of an apartment building.

“From what I understand, they (emergency medical personnel) worked him on the scene,” Dix said. “They lost him at least twice and were able to bring him back, but at a certain point, there was nothing else that could be done.”

Hall was transported to the WellStar Spalding Regional Hospital emergency room where he succumbed to his injuries.

“They worked on him for over 30 minutes in the hospital and couldn’t get him back,” said Capt. Taylor Dix.

Officials say Hall’s body has been transported to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Crime Lab for autopsy.

No arrests have been made in this incident.
