Officials refute rumors of RRMS administrator’s arrest

The GRIP has confirmed through multiple official sources that rumors a Rehoboth Road Middle School administrator was removed from the school in handcuffs are false.

Spalding County Sheriff Darrell Dix contacted Capt. Frank Clark, who contacted all SCSO school resource officers, as well as Donald Britt, with the Griffin-Spalding County School System (GSCSS).

“No one has been arrested at any school by anyone that we or the school system is aware of,” said Spalding County Sheriff Darrell Dix. “The only thing at a school was an ambulance came for a sick student at Rehoboth.”

GSCSS Executive Director of Communications and Partnerships Adam Pugh echoed Dix’s statement.

“I just spoke to Rusty (Hudson, RRMS assistant principal). He is at the school. No law enforcement came to the school. He was waiting for an ambulance to arrive for a student who felt faint. A parent completely falsified that post on the discussion page,” Pugh said. “I assume a parent – whoever posted that was badly mistaken…unless they were joking…but not very funny at all, as I’ve had several media inquiries.”
