The Cronic Automotive Group is again hosting the Women’s Business Expo on Tuesday, Nov. 19 at 6:30 p.m. in the Cronic Nissan showroom.

The event, co-sponsored with the local chapter of the American Business Women’s Association (ABWA), will focus on local firms that are owned or operated by women, according to Wanda Cronic Howell, the dealer at the Cronic Automotive Group.

“We want to offer this very important and often overlooked segment of our business community the opportunity to network in an informal setting,” said Howell.  “This event will give local businesswomen the opportunity to share with others what they do.”

Howell said next month’s expo will be one of the periodic ladies’ night out events and is a collaboration between Cronic dealerships, ABWA, Griffin-Spalding Chamber of Commerce and the Downtown Council.

During the Women’s Business Expo, local women who own or operate their own businesses will be invited to set up informational tables about their operations.  Each business is also urged to contribute at least one door prize, which will be given away that evening.

The expo will feature educational exhibits from other groups such as Griffin-Spalding County School System and Spalding County Health Department.

While there is no charge for booth space, persons who are interested in participating in the expo are urged to call Howell at 770-228-1326 or email whowell@croniccars.com to reserve space at the event in the Cronic Nissan showroom, located at 2624 N. Expressway.

Howell said the showroom has plenty of room for the displays as well as a large crowd.  Men and women are invited to attend and are asked to make reservations because a light dinner will be served.
