Comcast’s Xfinity WiFi van now stationed in Griffin to get community back online at no charge

Comcast has brought its mobile Xfinity WiFi van to Griffin to assist those impacted by this week’s tornadoes and severe weather.

The Xfinity WiFi van will help storm victims stay in touch with family and friends, as well as access crucial recovery information.
Residents who are within the van’s range will have free internet access.

This service is available to everyone, including non-Xfinity customers.

The van is located at 106 W. Taylor St., and is available from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.

Anyone in need of internet service can visit that location and leverage the free service.

The van’s WiFi can accommodate up to 300 users at one time.

The most effective way to get outage updates and information about Comcast services is to visit or to access the Xfinity My Account app from any secure, internet-enabled mobile device.
