Correction to juvenile runaway’s name

The Spalding County Sheriff’s Office has issued a correction to  the story that was issued yesterday regarding the runaway/endangered juvenile. The name of the juvenile was incorrect, the name should be Noel Colin Sanchez, it is not Edgar as originally reported.

County commissioners approve Cook’s site as new senior center

After only 20 minutes of discussion at tonight’s Spalding County Commissioner’s meeting, the board approved the Cook’s Shopping Center as the site of the new Spalding County Senior Center with a 4/1 vote, with Chairman Eddie Freeman opposing.
